Scope: H&H Marketing & Operations for EU  

Location: Warsaw, PL 

Terms & Conditions: ​Full-time role. Hybrid working model. The right to work in Poland is required. No relocation assistance will be available.

Within Unilever, HC Europe is a ca. 2 billion Turnover category operating in a growing and very competitive market, with presence in 35 countries with different brands and brand positions. 

The HC category is divided in 4 segments (= ‘Small C’s’): Fabric Cleaning, Fabric Enhancers, Home & Hygiene and Dishwash, and is driven by a dynamic, ambitious, and engaged team, operating in a challenging but exciting environment that offers a great opportunity to develop as marketer and business talent. This is a field where marketers can develop and sharpen their skills by confronting with some of the largest players in FMCG such as P&G, Henkel, and Reckitt Benckiser. In this competitive landscape, deep consumer insight, fast reaction and time to market are of crucial importance. 

Key Principles:

As the BU H&H Marketing & Operations Brand Manager, you will support the BU H&H Marketing & Operations Lead in driving the strategic and operational execution of the H&H plan across six Business Group (BG)-led markets in Europe: the UK, France, Poland, Italy, the Netherlands, and Germany.

1. Strategic Market Collaboration

  • For key markets per category within the six BG-led countries, you will work directly with BG teams to align on a One Plan approach and lead the end-to-end delivery of Big Bold Move innovations.

  • For the remaining BG-led markets, the BU team will act as the input and execution lead, ensuring alignment and consistency across the region.

2. Cross-Market Renovations & Phasing

  • Lead the development and coordination of cross-market renovation projects, ensuring that market activity timelines are aligned with both supply chain capabilities and the financial planning of the BU.

3. Integrated Supply Chain & Portfolio Management

  • Given the integrated supply chain across Europe (covering both BG-led and One Unilever markets), the BU team will be responsible for portfolio management across the region, ensuring seamless execution and optimization of resources.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

Cross-Market Core Innovation & Renovation (I&R)

  • Support the BU Marketing & Operations Lead in shaping and executing the cross-market I&R strategy, ensuring alignment with brand, category, and regulatory priorities.

  • Lead European portfolio coordination by working closely with BG teams, BG-led markets, and the VET Team (One U markets) to ensure a unified approach and supply readiness for all Big Bold Moves and renovations.

Marketing Activity Planning & Phasing

  • Coordinate portfolio planning and activity phasing across BU Home Care Europe, ensuring seamless execution across six BG-led and One U markets in close collaboration with Supply Chain and VET teams.

European Portfolio Management

  • Manage the SKU portfolio for BG-led sourcing units, driving simplification and efficiency across all European markets.

  • Support 3D packaging alignment to ensure consistency, cost-effectiveness, and speed to market.

BiH / 5S Program Initiatives

  • Contribute to marketing-led savings initiatives by partnering with R&D, Procurement, and Supply Chain to identify and implement value-driven efficiencies without compromising brand integrity.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Recommended Experience:

  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in marketing, brand management, or operations—preferably in FMCG or a similar fast-paced industry.

  • Exposure to regional or global projects is a strong advantage.

  • Experience in portfolio or artwork management, or working with cross-functional teams on innovation/renovation projects.

Recommended Skills:

1. Project & Portfolio Management

  • Strong organizational and planning skills to manage cross-market renovations and innovation timelines.

  • Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and ensure timely execution across diverse markets.

2. Marketing & Brand Understanding

  • Solid grasp of brand strategy, communication asset development, and consumer insights.

  • Familiarity with marketing fundamentals in FMCG, including innovation and renovation cycles.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Experience working with or coordinating across functions such as Supply Chain, R&D, Procurement, and Regulatory.

  • Ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across regional and local teams.

4. Analytical & Strategic Thinking

  • Ability to interpret data, assess market needs, and contribute to strategic decision-making.

  • Understanding of portfolio optimization and SKU rationalization.

5. Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal.

  • Comfortable presenting to and engaging with senior stakeholders and cross-market teams.

6. Agility & Problem Solving

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.

  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a “go-getter” attitude.

7. Technical & Digital Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).

  • Experience with artwork management systems, project tracking tools (e.g., Ms Project), or Unilever-specific platforms is a plus.
