About our diverse Business Unit
Beauty & Wellbeing PTAB (0.8 Bn Euro TO in size) is one of the newest Business Units for the BG with diverse consumer and customer landscape. The genesis of this new BU is firmly rooted in the large opportunity these markets represent for Unilever. Top 4 markets include: Arabia, Turkiye, Pakistan and Bangladesh, with smaller businesses of the balance countries. Arabia is the highest beauty per capita spend market within the BU where the consumer evolution is the most advanced and hence competitive. We equally have very strong businesses in Pakistan, Turkiye and Bangladesh with high market shares, ripe for the next phase of transformation. The business is on a positive trajectory on growth and profit and gaining competitively. With the latest change, we are decisively kicking off the transformation journey in our Demand creation mode across our GM organization with a focus on driving social first transformation, unmissable brand superiority across touchpoints, while accelerating in the key beauty channels.
Job Purpose:
This is a stretching and varied role, which blends business partnering skills with strategic HR projects. The role is designed to build and develop strategic HRBP capabilities, working to unlock talent, design and implement transformation programs, embed new and future WoW.
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
- Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning
- Driving the mood and morale of the people through engagement interventions. Ensuring the governance of HR KPI’s and building the actions plans around to ensure improvements.
- Lead key cyclical people processes – the total End of Year process including Annual Pay Review and performance management including people development forums, goal setting and calibration where necessary.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g. coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions)
- Maintain a grip of key workforce data metrics and data quality, through simplified processes
- Support the talent agenda including pipelining internally and externally, preparing and running high quality talent forums using relevant data and insights
- Generate meaningful data insights across various sources/platforms and pro-actively identify HR solutions to business problems, supporting business leads to further their agenda and deliver priority interventions
- Extend support on the Capability and ER Agenda across PTAB for B&W sites
- Leading the Capability plans of the site with the plans defined through the TNA’s and competence evaluations
- Building relationship with unions & facilitating business/process improvements through union discussions
- Addressing employee grievances & ensuring that the engagement levels of employees are high with full motivation
- Leading in a seamless manner the outsourcing at site and ensuring zero non-compliance with law or Unilever’s Global Labour Standards
- Managing relationship with contractual staff and service providers. Creating a smooth interface between management & CBA to implement business thrusts on time
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCEED
Experiences & Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years experience, demonstrating a proven track record of delivery
- Experience in leading the projects end-to-end
- Experience in ER is preferred
Skills
- Strong knowledge in organisational development and change, talent management, business partnering, performance management and reward
- Relevant experience in a managerial role in a high-volume manufacturing or similar environment (FMCG).
- Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to successfully lead and deliver complex projects within a matrix organization
- Comfortable working autonomously and dealing with ambiguity.
- Have the adaptability and resilience to balance short-term and long-term priorities.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, able to deliver through others, working through HR colleagues across the globe.
