Wall’s is an iconic, and the most salient ice-cream brand in the UK, purchased by almost a third of UK households. Founded in 1922 in the UK, Wall’s has grown from selling ice-cream via horse and cart through the streets of London to now being a global leader of the ice-cream industry; with the brands innovative approach leading to the current portfolio having products and flavors to cater for every occasion and appealing to broad audiences. Within Wall’s sits some of the UK’s most recognized and delicious ice-cream products, including Cornetto, Feast, Twister, Calippo and Solero.
This role will cover multiple Wall’s brands, with main focus on Solero, Twister and Calippo, biggest brands in Wall’s refreshment portfolio.
JOB PURPOSE:
Being the biggest segment under Wall’s brand, Refreshment is crucial to long-term success of the total UK Ice-Cream business; needing to execute some of the biggest marketing campaigns and delivering market making innovations. As a result, we are looking for high performing, driven candidates that demonstrate strong leadership and project management skills, with a real passion for consumers. In ice-cream, we welcome curious creative self-starters with a passion for brands and snacking culture.
The ideal candidates will drive the business and projects forward through strong commercial acumen and communication skills, ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, a curious mind to stay up to date with consumer needs and have strong attention to detail to ensure flawless execution of our brand strategies. We are looking for a candidate who has hunger to learn, with existing understanding of the fundamentals of brand management, including brand communication and in-market execution.

WHO YOU ARE & WHAT YOU WILL DO
This is an exciting and unique opportunity that gives the successful candidates the opportunity to work on an iconic global brands. This position will be primarily focused on supporting the growth of Wall’s through flawless execution of innovation, renovations and in-market execution across all consumer touchpoints.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead crucial renovation and innovation projects end-to-end, including innovation strategy, business cases, consumer research and crafting supporting activation plans.
Assist the development of unmissable ATL marketing campaigns, leading certain channels or brands. Partnering closely with media and digital expert teams to ensure flawless execution in market, ensuring consistent creative brand experience across channels and touchpoints.
Take a lead on brand’s digital strategy and content calendar partnering with Content and Data teams.
Lead certain brand partnership projects (example: 2025 partnership of Walls and Love Island).
Support with the commercial delivery of the brand, including monitoring/reporting of in market performance & ownership of forecast assumptions.
Work closely with customer teams, including in-home, away-from-home and d-com to identify and action growth opportunities.
Support development of annual brand strategies and present brand plans to external customers and internal UK & Global stakeholders.
Management of feedback from quality & consumer engagement teams.
And most importantly, be consumer and category obsessed. Be curious about trends & competitor activity, building a deep understanding of the Ice-Cream category and what drives success.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
You’re a born leader: This position requires leadership & influencing skills as you will interact with cross-functional business partners, brand partners in multiple categories as well as agencies.
You’re a strong communicator: This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills with keen attention to detail, while bringing colleagues along for the journey.
You show empathy and curiosity: You will need to be consumer-obsessed and develop an understanding of consumer and shopper missions in Ice Cream, and how they vary across retail channels, while never being afraid to ask “Why?”.
You are creative with a passion for creating impactful marketing campaigns.
Strong business acumen with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Hungry for growth with founder’s mindset – someone who seeks out the opportunities and wants to try/learn/test new things and push boundaries.
Consumer love – constantly curious and hungry to keep up to date with market insights.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Highly articulate and able to influence a wider range of stakeholders
IT literacy & Nielsen/Kantar understanding.
Experience in marketing is preferred.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
As publicly announced, it is envisaged that Unilever will internally separate its Ice Cream business by July 2025, at which point this role will transfer to the new Ice Cream company. It is expected that the Ice Cream business will then separate from Unilever by the end of 2025. Any impact on terms and conditions of employment will be communicated in due course.
