Marketing Strategic Sourcing Procurement Manager – METSA

JOB PURPOSE:
Are you passionate to drive continuous buying competitiveness in Turkey Procurement Marketing Business Services? Then this role is tailored for you.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead E2E marketing strategic sourcing - METSA for METSA markets, including Turkey, India, Pakistan, South Africa, Israel etc. Deliver sourcing strategy, implement through contracting and negotiations for marketing categories. (eg: Agencies, E&A, POSM, Field Force, Digital, PR)
- Build strategic partnerships, establish and maintain key relationships with suppliers and technology providers to drive innovation and sustainability across the supply chain.
- Understand the business needs related to Marketing management spend portfolios in the region and bring deep expertise and insights across the value chain and supply base to translate the business requirements into effective future-fit marketing procurement strategies.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand the The Magnum Ice Cream company strategy and requirement and convert it to sourcing strategy.
- Ensure readiness of marketing contracts by July’26 for METSA region
- Be Ambassador for non-marketing procurement spend (indirect procurement spend) in the region where needed as being the most senior manager
- Team Leadership: Mentor and guide the team across METSA region (2 people), fostering a culture of professional growth and high performance.

- WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Experiences & Qualifications
Qualifications Required:
- 8+ years of procurement experience, marketing procurement experience is preferred
- Expertise in sourcing, negotiation and contracting
- Financial acumen for business cases and reporting
- Experience in supplier relationship management
- Proven capability on project delivery and complex stakeholder management
- Understanding of supply market, value chain, and FMCG knowledge.
- Turkish & English Knowledge
Experience Required:
- Buying, supplier selection, negotiation and contracting skills
- Supply market and FMCG knowledge
- Experience on project, tender management
- Working knowledge of financial and business acumen
- Ability to interact with stakeholders effectively and efficiently functionally to understand their needs and deliver effective balanced solutions.
- Demonstrated and proven leadership capabilities
Skills
- Procurement Expertise: Proven procurement experience, preferably in the fmcg sector, with a deep understanding of strategic sourcing, contracting strategies, and supplier partnerships.
- Business Acumen: Extensive international business experience, with a proactive approach to identifying and developing opportunities in METSA and global markets.
- Negotiation & Relationship Building: Strong negotiation skills and a talent for building and maintaining supplier relationships, with cultural sensitivity and a global perspective.
- Leadership & Team Development: A people-first leader with exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of driving results while nurturing team growth and development.
- Results-Oriented: A drive for results, with a focus on achieving ambitious targets and making a tangible impact on TMICC’s sustainability agenda.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
As publicly announced, Unilever will separate its Ice Cream business which is expected by the end of 2025. This role will transfer to the new Ice Cream company.
