ABOUT MBS

MBS, Unilever’s Marketing & Business Services Procurement team, is responsible for Unilever’s sourcing and supplier strategy and execution for all third party spend across Marketing, Business Services, and IT, supporting the business requirements of Brands, Divisions, Markets, and functions to drive 4G growth through strategic supplier management, cost and value management, sustainability, and innovation, aligned with Unilever’s Compass. Within MBS, Strategic Procurement Portfolio Managers are responsible for Promo & Commerce portfolios E2E for all Markets as per scope globally.

The Assistant Procurement Manager will report to the Strategic Portfolio Procurement Manager and work together with our Sales/Marketing/Finance functions, as well as various Marketing Portfolios managers within Procurement. This with the aim to help to develop and implement Unilever’s global promo & commerce portfolio strategies to drive sales and ROI and enhance consumer’s shopping experience across markets in close collaboration with the global Promo & Commerce Strategic Procurement Manager. The position for the Assistant Sourcing Manager will be based in Turkey.

The Assistant Procurement Manager will support the Marketing Procurement Portfolio Manager who partners and works with our Global Brand teams to increase effectiveness of our marketing procurement by streamlining accountabilities, building capabilities, and leveraging knowledge, relationships, and business strategies across markets.

The Assistant Procurement Manager will support the Strategic Procurement Portfolio Manager by providing the data insights to increase efficiency of our marketing procurement by driving scale where it makes sense, decreasing fragmentation, prioritizing higher impact areas, leveraging technology and data, and drive performance that unlocks 4G growth for Unilever.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • Understand the business needs related to Promo&Commerce portfolio, translate business requirements, understand FMCG industry dynamic, consumer insights, by working very closely with the Strategic Sourcing Manager.
  • Support Promo&Commerce procurement manager to establish global strategy, goals and priorities, data analysis and visualization aligned with Unilever GAP 2030 and OneMBS strategies and principles
  • Work together with Market Procurement, local Stakeholders and functions (Customer Development, Finance, CMI) execute sourcing strategy, operating models, to help drive growth including focus on Responsible Sourcing Policy.
  • Support to deliver team targets and other KPIs (including value delivery) as per OKR’s/objectives across all BU’s/BG’s,
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, to support business, BU/BG’s, MBS and procurement priorities.
  • Ensure Portfolio fundamentals (i.e., data consistency, data insights, recurring stakeholder communications, contracts, quality processes etc.) are all put in place for Markets in scope.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Procurement teams globally to drive data-led interventions.
  • Be familiar and the ability to obtain different data from tools, platforms and internal sources.
  • Data analysis and data visualization with transitioning data from Excel to PowerBI.
  • Utilize advanced Excel/SQL skills to analyse and interpret data effectively.
  • Reporting, analysis, and insights: Support and manage data requests from stakeholders, build/maintain reports, dashboards and metrics to track performance, derive insights, identify long-term trends, and communicate recommendations via presentations to stakeholders.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

  • Few years of data analytics experience, preferably in marketing procurement.
  • Strong data analytics skills and data visualization.
  • Basic understanding of the marketing value chain, marketing trends and ideally FMCG knowledge. Knowledge of the marketing Promo&Commerce portfolio and its supply markets is considered as a plus.
  • Experience in supplier relationship management and in large-scale projects is considered an advantage.

Skills

  • Proficient analytical skills in Excel is essential, extensive experience in Data Analytics or Information Management
  • Advanced Excel skills to interpret data effectively and able to convert to compelling PPT’s.
  • Advanced transitioning data skills from Excel to PowerBI.
  • Experience of data warehouse and reporting/dashboard development.
  • Ability to understand and formulate insights to tell compelling, data stories or insights based on large, complex data sets, for the delivery of opportunities.
  • Comfort with visualizing data in a range of output formats (e.g. PPT decks) or tools (e.g. BI tools such as Tableau, etc.) with clear attention to detail. Ability to create polished data oriented presentations for executive and board-level consumption.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including creation and delivery of effective presentations.
  • Detail oriented and analytical mind with problem solving capabilities.
  • Delivers change whilst managing the interface between “day to day” and improvement projects.
  • Passion for continuous improvement. Good at project and time management.
  • Passion and practical creativity, positive attitude and personality, strong integrity, and good ethics.
