Business Context & Main Purpose of the Role Oral Care Vietnam is one of the strategic growth engines for Personal Care in Vietnam and across Greater Asia (Vietnam, Philippines, Japan, Thailand, Cambodia and Laos). The category is at an inflection point — with strong potential to expand premiumization, while strengthening the core, and win in digital commerce through purposeful brand building and social-first demand creation. The Category Lead for Oral Care Viet Nam is accountable for driving the end-to-end growth agenda — shaping strategy, leading innovation, and driving in-market execution to deliver consistent, sustainable, competitive and profitable growth. The role will also act as GA Category Champion to represent GA in the Global Oral Care Leadership Network — contributing market insights, shaping GA innovation and communication strategies, and scaling best practices across markets. Shape Key Responsibilities 1. Lead Category & Brand Strategy Define and execute the Oral Care Growth Strategy for Vietnam, aligned with Oral Care global priorities and business ambition. Lead the Integrated Business Planning cycle (IBP) — delivering category growth, GM, penetration, and market share targets. Translate global brand strategies for Pepsodent (P/S), CloseUp into locally resonant brand plans anchored on purpose and people. Partner with CSP to co-shape category growth drivers and drive in-market execution 2. Innovation & Portfolio Leadership Shape the end-to-end Innovation Funnel — from idea to in-market performance — ensuring relevance, speed, and executional excellence. Provide consumer and market input to influence innovation, claims, and communication pipelines. Manage a balanced portfolio across price tiers, formats, and channels to deliver penetration and premiumization growth. Track innovation performance, repeat, and profitability; drive continuous learning for faster market success. 3. Demand Creation & Brand Building Lead Social-First Demand Generation to make Oral Care culturally relevant and digitally visible Lead purposeful brand communication that brings the Oral Care purpose of Healthier Smiles to life through modern storytelling. Lead Brand Marketing, Content, Social, and Media teams to connect Brand Say and Brand Sell, Others Say and Others Sell across the funnel — from awareness to conversion. 4. Regional Category Champion Responsibilities Represent GA in the global Oral Care Category Leadership Team — bringing sharp consumer, shopper, and competitive insights. Influence global innovation, communication, and portfolio strategies by injecting local learnings and pilots. Lead cross-market capability and best-practice sharing, ensuring scalability of successful growth models. 5. Business Performance & P&L Delivery Deliver Category P&L — accountable for USG, GM, market shares and media ROI. Drive mix, pricing, and promo optimization with CSP, Finance and CD. Champion ROI-driven marketing investment decisions. 6. People, Culture & Capability Lead, coach, and inspire the Oral Care marketing team — creating a high-performance, purpose-driven, and coaching-led culture. Role-model Unilever Leadership Standards. Build future-fit marketing capabilities — Social-First Marketing, Performance Marketing, Data & Insights, and AI-powered creativity. Develop talent pipelines and succession for future category growth leadership. ⸻ Key Interfaces Internal: BU Leadership Team, Global Oral Care Brand Crafters, Customer Development, Finance, Supply Chain, HR, DCom, Media & Content Hubs External: Creative & Media Agencies, Research Partners, eCommerce Platforms, Retail Partners, Influencer & Health Ecosystem Stakeholders Critical Experience & Qualifications 10+ years of progressive experience in Brand and Category Management, ideally within Oral Care or broader FMCG Personal Care Proven record of delivering brand and business growth across innovation, communication, and in-market execution Experience in digital transformation, social marketing, and DCom acceleration Strategic and analytical thinker with strong leadership and influencing skills Passion for building purpose-led brands that improve lives and grow responsibly Key Success Measures Category USG, GM, and Market Share Growth Brand Equity & Penetration Progress Innovation, Repeat, and ROI Digital Commerce Share and Media ROI Talent & Capability Strength Index Regional Collaboration & Best Practice Adoption
