Job Purpose

Externally facing, the role needs to support the customer manager to help delivering the P&L for their category, including turnover, profitability, trade spend, and market share delivery, while helping build, negotiate, and execute the commercial joint business plan with the customer.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for supporting various aspects of customer and category management to drive business success.

  • Supports the delivery of Turnover, Customer Profitability, Market Winning Share, and TTS budgets for their customer and category.
  • Owns the creation of promotional activities, once approved by the Customer Manager.
  • Owns the processing of TTS claims, once approved by the Customer Manager.
  • Completes promotional evaluations and makes recommendations to the Customer Manager for future improvements where appropriate.
  • Inputs into the short-term volume forecast aligned to the S&OP process.
  • Owns the updating of data in JBP’s and other relevant templates for business reviews.

What you will need to succeed?

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of business experience, preferably cross-functional.
  • FMCG experience in field execution, CSP or customer roles.

Skills

  • Collaborates with CSP team to enable and support the right category growth management approach to ensure the triple-win (customer, shopper, Unilever).
  • Commercial strategy – understands the Unilever trade investment strategy.
  • Understands their customer and uses that knowledge to build stronger customer relationships by educating and informing key Unilever people.
  • Is data literate, able to analyse promotional data to make better decisions and identify new trends that impact the customer, category and Unilever.
  • Understands how to execute with excellence with the customer when it comes to promotional activities.
  • Familiar with negotiation tactics and strategies, with an understanding of the appropriate trading variables available to negotiate with.
  • Knows the fundamental information to include in presentations that aids Customer Managers when selling their category growth ideas.
